A Second Opinion on Learning Disorders

A tip of the hat to Nancy for providing a link to this video. It is absolutely amazing! It discusses recent advances in brain imaging and suggests that the new technology can be used to better diagnose and understand the different types of learning disorders. For example, almost half of kids diagnosed as “autistic” may actually be suffering from hitherto-undetectable brain seizures, a condition that is quite treatable by medication. We look forward to further discoveries regarding other types of learning disorders.
