How true is that?

Equally baffling are why teachers are being punished for teaching kids in a more conventional manner, you know, like using the 4 Standard Algorithms and daily practice in the classroom.  If our educrats insist that ALL teaching methods are to be respected in the 21st century classroom, why is it that these tried and true methods are never mentioned?  And if teachers try and use them, they get reprimanded.

A novel idea might be to try and do what works, but then we couldn’t hire ed consultants and spend millions of taxpayer dollars on decreasing math skills that they, themselves, created in the first place.
