The Khan Academy, a private not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide free high-quality math instruction, has posted more than 800 short videos to YouTube that clearly explain everything from basic arithmetic operations to differential equations, trigonometry, algebra, physics, and finance. The featured video teaches how to add decimal numbers. For a list of the entire video library, click here.

The metric/place value sheet posted at /stairway2math/MATHSHEET04,_Place_Value,_Metric_System.pdf has many errors.  For example, if the meter is the unit for comparing, a km is 1000 meters, not 0.001 as the chart states.

This would be a valuable resource if it is corrected.

David Harris, the author of the Stairway to Math sheets, offers the following clarification.
There is 0.0001 km (1/1000 of a km) in 1 metre because the STARTING UNIT that is boxed in blue is 1 metre as explained in the yellow heading. I hope this explains it. David Harris
