This is not at all educational, but it’s lots of fun. So far, 37,533,453 people have viewed it. Why not be number 37,533,454?

The cable guys from Telenet, of Europe, know how to get people to watch, with their eyes glue onto the screen.

The Evidence On Watching Short Videos

At work, watching videos may be a waste of productive time — or is it?

Here is research evidence that watching animal videos may actually “make you a better employee” — http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2012/09/science-watching-animal-videos-could-make-you-a-better-employee/263042/

Mind — watching ADULT animals is not as beneficial as watching BABY animals.

That’s today’s research from Japan. But if you get drawn into this, you can spend all day (probably) as these types of videos are all over the map and languages — so vicariousness and addiction may not be the only motivation for production and watching.

I get annoyed with people sending me what they think are “cute” or meaningful, but I do relay some that I particularly like — especially if some profound characteristic of NATURE is illustrated (IMO).

The following example from the above article (even if you don’t read the article) is worth watching and pondering — what is this very young kitten already dreaming and twitching about at his tender age?

[Bottom line:  So if Malkin doesn’t think her post is at all educational, maybe “productivity” is a factor — positive or negative — in watching short spurts of videos.  Question:  Applying research evidence, would using the cutest, baby animal videos in school classrooms make students more productive?]
